Warcraft: Part 1

Okay, Okay. I know what you're thinking. "Oh my god... She has a huge list of websites for World of Warcraft (Also known as WoW). AND SHE'S GIVING A BIO/REVIEW FOR ALL OF THEM!!! What. A. Nerd." Well, in my defense, I did prewarn you about this from the very beginning. (If you missed out, it's located to your left on this screen in the "About Me" section.) Here's a list of the websites I use for WoW. I might be forgetting a few, but these are the one I have saved in my bookmarks. And no, I DO NOT intend on turning this blog into a crazed Warcraft player scripture. I just enjoy playing this MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) and would like to share the knowledge I have obtained with my readers. So yes, there will continue to be posts on other topics that are not Warcraft related. =)

     Curse

To begin with is Curse. I very often actually use the website itself unless I'm looking for more information. But! The jewel of this website is the Curse Client (which can be downloaded RIGHT HERE) that you can get with it! You do need a login (username and password, so you have to sign up for an account,it's free) to use it.. It's COMPLETELY FREE TO THE PUBLIC!!! This client/website provides you with addons (mods for game configuration). You can download things to change the way your interface looks, minigames, maps, things to warn you (like when you have low health/mana or when a particular boss/monster is about to perform a certain move), and etc. You can even use Curse for other Blizzard Inc. games (This is the company that created Warcraft and other FANTASTIC games as well). There is SOOOOO much you can do with Curse and it's client. I could go on all night singing it's praise, but I would never finish this entry, lol, so on to the next website.

     Hayden Hawke

Hayden has a plethora of information here. She's shows you gold tips, her leveling guides, and reviews for the recent updates for Warcraft. The only downside to this website is that you have to pay to join if you want to become a VIP member (this allows you access to all of the posts that she has made including her WoW guides and free recent updates to it **which I highly recommend doing by paying the one time payment of $7.95 HERE**) There is the option of not paying to become a member, however, you will not be able to see the guides that she provides for you. All you will be able to see are a select few of her recent posts.

     The Undermine Journal

This website is more informational than anything else if you plan on making your gold by playing the auction house. It doesn't matter what realm you are playing on, The Undermine Journal has information on everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, that you could think of to sell. It provides you with the going rates, how much is already on the market and who is selling them. It even tells you what the components are for the item if need be!

     WoW Heroes

This website is more for the PVP (Player Vs. Player) or dungeon raiders. Just enter your Zone, Realm and Character Name. It gives you all the information for that toon, including the gear you are currently wearing and tips on upgrades. I highly recommend this is you are wanting to level this way. Or maybe you just want to better you character for quests and keep tabs on them, either way, it's very helpful place to start. **LINK COMING SOON ** Until this issue is fixed, you can go to www.Wow-Heroes.com to check out this website.

     WoW Popular

Wow Popular is another informative website. However, instead of telling you your character knowledge and how to improve it, this website tells you what is most used for your class. It produced information on things like what talents, glyphs, gear, enchants, gems and reforges are most popular for your class. You get the picture I hope. There is more are categories for each class, so don't think you'll be left out!

     Blinging WoW

This is a website I use for the tutorials solely. Every once in a while I read through the posts if they spark my interest. This is a gold guide (a guide that shows you how to make gold). It shares tips in all areas. From making gold with Alchemy, the auction house, twinking characters, expansions, and all the way to addons that help with making gold. There is also a forum called Blinging WoW - Gold Forum which can be found HERE. This creator has multiple blogs for gold making which can be found on the right side of this website.

     The Consortium

The Consortium is actually a forum, but it also has guides and other blogs attached to it. Mostly, like the rest of the websites I have linked here. Within the forum, you can find how-to's and answers to your problems/questions. Plus, you can chat with other players about the game or anything in general. You can also find a list of useful addons (something I'll cover in another blog post <(^_^)>)

     FREE World of Warcraft Guides

This is a blog that contains all types of guides. Looking to earn gold? It's here. Looking to level your character? There's a guide for that. Looking to raid or PvP? There's guides for those and more. This blogger covers everything. You don't have to sign up. You don't have to pay for the content. Just go to the website and find the category that you're interested in.

     Kuja's Gold Mine

Kuja's Gold Mine is another gold guide. It's pretty much used for nothing other than making gold in any way or form that you can think of. for example: playing the auction house, farming, using professions and many more options. Literally anything.

     Icy Veins

This is another website with a plethora of information. It contains guides/information on classes, raids, dungeons, events, quests and transmogrification. I use this website when I need help with class specs or fighting a specific boss in a dungeon or raid. It provides you with the information you need to quickly level up in whatever spec you choose. The down side to this? At the moment it only grants you access to level up characters from 85-90. However! It does show you what talents, glyphs and rotations to use to get there faster!

     Noxxic

This is another guide, just not for gold. It provides you with a list of classes and their specs. It then goes on to tell you which spec has the current top DPS (Damage Per Second. If don't know this and you play WoW, kill yourself right now. I'm serious. Stick your face in a blender because you're lower than a Newb. And if you don't know what a Newb is.... There's just no hope for you...) This website provides you with the information to obtain the current highest DPS. Normally, it's used in tandem with raiding, running dungeons or for PvP. Very rarely will you see a player maxing out their DPS just for PvE (Player vs. Environment) questing.

     Mr. Robot

Mr. Robot is a character optimization website similar to Wow-Heroes.com except with more information.

     Tank Spot

Tank Spot is actually a fansite, but it's amazing! I use it for the videos (found under the "movies" category) but they also have news and a forum. The movies are player recorded videos of step-by-step boss fights. Any boss fight you can think of, they have a video of it. I can't tell you how many times I've had to watch a fight before going into a raid or dungeon because I'd never been there before.

     Wow-Professions

This website has profession and farming guides. It explains to you how to max out your professions and what you need to do that. The farming guides tell you how to collect items and materials that you can either use for your professions or sell for gold. Some of the items needed to level your professions are rare, which makes them very costly if you are buying them from the auction house. If you aren't buying them from the auction house they might be limited items (items that certain NPCS *None Player Characters* sell, but only for a limited time). For example: Sinshrouds Dalaran Limited Supply List (There are more routes for limited supply) [Beautiful Wildflowers] you can buy them for 18s and sell them for 50-70g. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a hell of a deal to me! The downside? This item is only sold for a limited amount of time. Meaning, the merchant has the item in stock, but you can only buy a certain amount of them. If someone else or yourself buys them all out, you have to wait before they are available again before you can buy them. This may seem useless to you, but some of the items are well worth the time that you have to wait. As for the professions? Well I shouldn't have to explain it, but the higher the level, the more you can sell the item for. Even lower level items are worth something. Some of them are even worth more than what it costs to actually make them. I recommend starting out with two gathering professions to begin with. That way you can sell (or if you decide to save the materials you gather to level up another profession after you have maxed the two out) the materials that you collect to make gold. I will elaborate more on this technique more in another post.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and implement it's content it to better yourself as a WoW player. =)

!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!

My next Warcraft post will be about addons and how I use them and other methods to make a crap load of gold!
